



The Keg

The Keg is a stout brew designed by Rusty Preisendorfer and Wade Carmichael. It’s most distinct feature is the high nose and tail rocker as well as the USA made apple core black stringer. The bottom features a fairly deep concave through the board. The deepest point is a third of the way up from the block. Rusty typically measures tail blocks 1 inch up so he can get a more consistent read meaning that the measurement is not as affected by the overall tail curve.
The Keg measures in at a hearty 7.8 inches one inch up. That’s almost an inch wider than most typical high performance short boards. The foil is shifted back. On most of Rusty’s boards he prefers a neutral foil or 0.1 inch more in the rear of the board. The Keg is 0.2 inches thicker than the nose. Significant.
Wade’s dims on his weapon of choice out of the rack for most conditions is 6’0. Slightly bigger than average because Wade is an all-Australian bloke, built from Young Henry’s lagers and steak and veggies. 19.5 wide, 2.55 inches thick and 31 liters of frosty volume.
The Keg is the Pro model for Wade Carmichael and his go-to board competing in the WSL. Built for conditions all over the world, from point breaks, beachies, punchy slabs and everything in between. We can’t promise you that you’re going to be able to throw as much spray as Wade does but at least with this board under your feet you’ll know it’s your fault and not the board.

Mi Amigo
MIAMIG-PU-FUT-THR-5'0
The Mi Amigo is a high-performance board with an old foil revisited. The rocker is relaxed at both ends and the template has a 2.5 inch difference in width between the nose and tail. The bottom features a light single concave that is deepest between the feet, approximately 0.15 inches.
The tail thickness is what really makes this board different. The last 12 inches of the board is where the rail gets blocky and the deck gets progressively flatter as it comes to the block. The block is approximately .25 of an inch thicker than the norm, which is roughly .5 of an inch. This slightly thicker tail block and its square contour helps to keep the tail higher in the water and the angular contours release water more efficiently.

Model 8 is an update from the 2016 best seller Sista Brotha model. A high performance board with a low rocker thru out the front creating extra speed and drive combined with a single concave, full forgiving rails and some extra tail rocker kick to help find those tight pockets but still allows you to drive on open faces.

The Blade
BLADE-PU-FUT-THR-5'0
The Blade is a direct descendant of the famous 1984. In 2014 Rusty Preisendorfer hooked up with Mark "Occy" Occhilupo and did a 100 board reissue of his famous signature "84" model. A year ago Rusty started getting asked to lean out the nose and lose the beak. In addition, he modernized the bottom slightly. The surfers who tried them freaked. Since then Rusty has made them with 4 deep channels. He also decided to give a very modern bottom with a deep single to double concave a shot. Bottom line is that virtually anyone that has tried any of the different bottoms has been psyched and have also ordered them longer as well.
The Blade works in a wide range of conditions. For now, we are offering the Blade in a mellow, subtle single to double concave, that bottom with 4 deep channels, and a modern deep single concave. Also available without channels. Please advise preference when purchasing.

The Yes Thanks is a wider, fuller performance shortboard designed for knee-high to solid-overhead surf. The Yes Thanks comes from Bender lineage, which is our popular performance board for good, hollow waves. The bottom features plus overall rocker and a fairly deep single concave splitting into a double through the fins and off the tail. We've had good feedback on the rocker and bottom, but many requests for a wider outline overall and fuller rails, and this helped to make the Yes Thanks more versatile and forgiving. Other key features are the added bump in the outline at mid fins, which acts as a fulcrum or pivot point to enhance turning, and the slightly wider tail block. All added up, this devliers a versatile and forgiving performance shortboard.

The new "SD" or, San Diego shortboard, is designed to be the ideal go-to shortboard for Southern California. The "SD" performs well in everything from the softer beach breaks of Del Mar and Leucadia to the hollow reef breaks of La Jolla and Sunset Cliffs. Because of the versatility of the SD design, it is the ideal one board quiver for a trip to anywhere along the coast.
We took the predictable performance of the Yes, Thanks and dialed it in for smaller, softer surf by adding volume, a little width, and an increase in thickness. The rails of the SD are foiled with a low apex. A crowned deck helps maximize the volume in this fun shortboard. The bottom of the SD has a deep single concave that allows the board to generate speed through the flats. Ride the SD 2 - 4 inches shorter than your traditional shortboard due to the additional volume, and enjoy the results of this looser, faster precision shortboard!

Slayer 2
SLYR2-PU-FUT-THR-5'6
The Slayer has been a favorite for 10+ years. From time to time we've been asked if we could make it a little looser off the top and bottom. Thus, the Slayer 2. The Slayer 2 has the wide point pulled back towards the midpoint. This tends to pull in the nose and give more curve to the tail section. It has slightly more rocker on both ends and has a light double barrel vee (Slayer 1 has a single concave).
We recommend that the Slayer 1 be ridden 4 inches shorter than your regular performance shortboard but the Slayer 2 should be ridden approximately 2 inches shorter" or even the same length. The foil is more balanced as opposed to the Slayer which, has a fair bit of volume in the front third of the board. For those of you who remember the Traveler, the Slayer 2 is in between that design and the Slayer. The Slayer 2 is a modern step-up.

Torsion Spring Dwart Too

What did we do to the Dwart Too? We gave it a squash tail, which increases the surface area in the tail and translates to more acceleration out of the turn. We then narrowed the nose slightly, which allows the board to enter a turn faster. We increased the tail rocker a little, which makes the board turn tighter and we thinned, or foiled, the rails out to increase the hold and sensitivity at higher speeds. We also reconfigured the double concaves in the tail to create a more positive feel in a turn. And we did all this yet only gave up 1 litre of volume in any given size, which means you have the option of losing a litre or going up one inch from the original Dwart.

Chupacabra
CHUPAC-PU-FUT-5FI-5'0
The Chupacabra is a high volume groveler with a pure Venturi channel with no spine (the stringer stays up high at the center) to create speed. The board has a very low rocker with a very light concave running through the center to flat in between the fins ending onto a very light vee at the end of the tail. It has a very high and pronounced wing that breaks the outline flow creating a quick turning point. The tail is a generous round with planning surface, and yet tight turning arcs in the pocket. Thickness is concentrated on the chest area and it paddles very well and catches waves with ease. The Venturi and foam through the tail make this board extremely capable of connecting the flat spots, keeping the board always loaded with energy. The nose is not as wide as other grovelers, and the wide point considered "narrow", the Chubacabra performs as a performance shortboard.
It should be ridden at least 3" smaller than your shortboard. This model excels in small surf but it has been put to test in some decent surf with surprisingly good performance.

SLAYER-PU-FUT-THR-5'6
Josh’s go-to board in bigger surf. He used it in Fiji, Tahiti, and the Pipe Masters in the 2013 campaign. Part of the Kerrlection series, the slayer is designed as a step-up with four inches taken off at the front end. The wide point is now two inches forward of center instead of two inches back, giving you a little longer rail line yet more control for those tight pockets
And a touch of width to the center, re-blend the front end, giving the board a little fuller nose and relaxed rocker. This combination allows it to paddle well, make drops and fit you into the barrel.

The Heckler is a Fish with some new ideas. We've utilized a "fishy" outline with a shallow dovetail and pronounced wing to produce a lightning fast small wave wonder. Rusty designed and built a Twin Fin for Josh Kerr just prior to a trip to Norcal... to say Josh loved it is putting it mildly. Starting with a template Rusty used in the 70's & 80's while working with Shaun Tomson as his base Rusty refined the bottom with the addition of a shallow single concave that feeds into the vee.

Chew Toy

We consider the Chew Toy to be the ideal “step-up groveler or hybrid”, as it will handle a much broader range of waves and conditions than most other boards in those categories. The new Chew Toy features a few modern tweaks to improve the performance and versatility; a pulled in nose, refined single to double with vee off the tail bottom and performance rail. The deck configuration allows us to pack in some additional liters for better paddling proficiency, and the tighter tail template and additional rocker when compared to traditional grovelers improves the performance.

D Min
d-min-PU-FUT-QUA-5'6
A few years back Rusty designed a board called the Neil and it has gotten more interest in the last year or so. He went back and updated the design, adding more volume and improving the performance in smaller waves, giving you the Diamond Mini or D Min.
The D Min catches waves easily and does best in a wide range of conditions from knee high, mush to head high. With the added volume, you want to ride it shorter, similar to a fish. What gives the D Min its name is its diamond tail. The diamond tail is a blend of a round pin and squash and really helps this board with tighter turns than most full, wide everyday surfboards. The low entry rocker and added foam in the chest area with the aggressive tail rocker and vee off the tail makes this board paddle with ease and still have lots of maneuverability to transition from rail to rail. If you’re looking for a versatile, everyday surfboard and an excellent solution to everyday surf conditions, the D Min is the perfect board for you.

Yes, we have a catalogue of sprays and patterns you can choose from. Just let us know if this is of interest to you.

Yes, you can. Many of our board models have carbon as standard, but you can request extra carbon.
Q15. Do you offer a polished gloss finish to my custom board?
Yes, you can request a polished gloss finish. We offer other finishes to custom boards.
Q16. Can I have S-Cloth placed on my custom board?
Yes, S-Cloth is available and can be placed on all custom orders.
Q17. Do you offer channels bottoms on custom boards?
Channels are available. You will need to speak to the shaper for guidance with your requirement.
Q18. I have videos of me surfing, can I upload this content to help the shaper understand my ability and the waves I am surfing?
Yes, if you follow the custom board builder form you can upload two videos and at the end. Click the CUSTOM tab at the top of the page.
